Eligibility

Promisora is for U.S. and Canadian residents aged 18+ to create pet trust templates tailored to North American laws.

About Pet Trusts

A pet trust ensures your pet’s care if you’re unable to provide it, designating a caregiver and funding their needs (e.g., food, vet care). It’s peace of mind your pet won’t end up in a shelter.

To create a pet trust template with Promisora, you’ll need:
Pet Information: Name, breed, age, details.
Caretaker Information: Name, contact.
Trustee Information: Name, contact (can overlap with caregiver).
Financial Information: Funds for pet care.
Care Instructions: Daily care, medical, end-of-life wishes.

Promisora provides a customizable pet trust template. To be legally binding, the agreement must be completed with accurate information, signed, notarized, and funded per your region’s laws. Promisora is not responsible for legal enforceability or additional steps. We recommend consulting a lawyer for complex situations or region-specific requirements.

A pet trust acts immediately upon death or incapacity, unlike a will, which may delay in probate. A trust ensures prompt pet care and funding, treating pets as beneficiaries, not property.

Promisora’s pet trust template supports unlimited pets in one agreement, as long as the caretaker, trustee, and terms apply universally.

No, you can include unlimited pets in one pet trust template if the caretaker, trustee, and terms apply universally.
